Don't know about that, but I seem to remember that I read that Dr. Franky and the Monster was a compiled basic program. However, I would not call it good :)

Football Manager is the best I've played anyway, and its surely the most influential. Frank 'n' Stein couldn't have been BASIC could it? It looks too professional.
