I notice stuff like that from the monitor synch when I'm trying to do scrolling. If you have that 'gigascreen smoothing' on, scrolling stipples smudge into a big blur, and if it's off, they strobe and flicker. -

If you run your speccy through an analogue tv card, which I do sometimes, and your software allows;

OK Guys, I've updated the TAP version to include digital audio by default, and moved the player code to Uncontended RAM making it sound much better.
I've also made the IDEDOS / +3 disk version which includes a cheat menu and in-game level skip ...
