In the above pic you can also see the little plastic lugs/tabs I used to fix the sawn off drive plate . The glue I used was strong and with a bolt on the other end this solution worked well -

I think to glue HDPE you need some kind of fancy epoxy, or you can friction weld it. I've never used it so I don't know. It seems like it's pretty specialist stuff. -

guesser it might be worth getting a small piece and seeing how it cuts and glues to see if it's any good for what we are thinking of using for plus if it can be heated and bent wouldn't need to glue it -
