If its any help then I use a grey +2 PSU in both my 48k and 128k toaster, a full 2A, more than enough and it runs just fine! -

I think only if it's the black +2, really a +2A, does it have the multi-pin power connector necessary. The original grey +2 just had a single hollow pin power connector, which won't work. -

It looks black in your photo...
The grey +2 is very light grey and it wouldn't say +2A or +2B on the bottom.
