I'm pretty sure the RGB is all you get on the +3 and +2A anyway - the original 128 and grey +2 had a composite out on the RGB socket, but that was oh-so-usefully replaced with an audio out on the +3 / +2A. -

The grey +2 is about the most compatible of all the 128's, but it won't run everything. I would say get a 48K AND a grey +2 and you'll be able to play just about anything ever released. -

Didnt know the problems with the 128 or grey +2. Jumped from a Speccy + to a normal +2 and then a +3. Loved that plus 3 when i bought a Multiface ! Games loading in seconds not minutes was amazing back then ! -
