Ok the easiest way to tell if it's a grey +2 or a later +2a/+2b is to look at the power socket. The original grey +2 had a little round plug (same as the 48K) but the +2a/b's had a large Din plug on them. -

If it was based on looks alone then I would say the rubberkeyed 48K. However if it were based on reliability and practicallity then I would say my grey+2.
