As long as there is nothing wrong with the tape amp or such in the speccy youre good to go! Its head to head, no tape so a direct signal. I use one of these in my grey +2 and using my iphone with Speccytape app, everything loads, all the time. -

If you're talking standard machines, then the grey +2 is considered the best from a reliability and compatibility perspective.

Nope, that's a black +2A/B (grey +2's have the tape symbols printed on the keys themselves, rather than on the case as with the +2A/+2B).
Larger PSU with a DIN type connector is also a giveaway.
