I back-annotated the ULA schematic from the silicon to 24 A3 sheets of this 'graph' paper. Each sheet being a big 6x4 grid (one square per ULA matrix cell), and each containing a smaller 10x10 grid.
Couldn't have done the job without it. -

A fresh reset will give 41473 'free bytes' for a 48K machine, and 8705 for a 16K machine. Values will be slightly lower with IF1 attached and active, because of the extra system variables.
