Sonic Boom is alright. It's tough as anything (and suffers from invisible bullet hell) but I managed to complete it back in the day.
Ikari Warriors on the spec is my fave version of the game so I'd check that out. -

Green Beret was excellent! Although slightly too hard, yes. The arcade version is a lot easier in comparison.
But Commando ranks as my favourite as well, followed by Ikari Warriors and Green Beret. -

Actually another game i was so disappointed in was Guerilla War. I loved Commando and Ikari Warriors, two of my favourites and was expecting much the same of this game.
Instead it was just terrible and i was gutted i bought it. -
