    I tested the game quickly, one thing I should suggest is to use INPUT LINE x$ instead of just INPUT. This gets rid of the "", which looks a little better I think.

    Why have any INPUT line at all?

    Why not just press number and have it display and set immediately in the cell thats highlighted.
