You mean Sinclair 1 (keys 6,7,8,9,0), which is one of the ports on the models made by Amstrad, or one of the ports on the Interface 2. :) -

Replace the original ROM with one that has the original attributes modified (or make a Interface 2 cartridge containing a custom ROM).

I do not see point of conflict with DIVIDE.
Sometimes power is an issue - if you connect too much
