    I'm pretty sure that the +3's edge connector will accept joystick interfaces without a special fixer board. Yes, the edge connector may have been botched up by Amstrad, but it isn't [i]that[/i] botched up.

    I can`t imagine it having anything to do with a tape deck. Well it looks like a DIN plug so it will have at least 5 pins, the only things I remember using these sockets were either monitors, midi interfaces or disk drives.
