I can probably knock up a minimal linux install that runs FUSE (or any other emulator) on boot up. I do that with FS-UAE to turn my laptop into a GHz-class Amiga. You can either install it to an internal HDD or just boot from an SD Card. -

It's basically just an SD Card image. you write it to the SD card, pop it in the host machine and reboot. Installation to an internal HDD is also pretty simple. -
