    I always find IRQ-initialisation to be a pain in the *** and loose my patience :)

    How is this measured?

    If a spectrum runs at approx 3.5Mhz then that is 3,500,000 tstates per second.

    A NOP (no operation) takes 4 tstates to execute. So that is 875,000 NOPs / sec, or 0.8 million.
