If it's the ULA I sent you, it'll work fine in any Spectrum from Issue 2 all the way up to issue 6A. Honest!! :) -

Download the speccy 48K service manual from this very site and have a butchers at the memory testing bit. That'll give you some idea of if it's a ram fault
