You can try joefish's routine out in BASIC for yourself with ColorPRINT-48 (see rainbow processor thread). I'd advise turning the mode off except at run-time though as it really does slow down BASIC. -

I can confirm that Cosmic Escape works fine on a real TS2068 without using the Spectrum emulator cart (aside from the UDG quotes around the text COSMIC ESCAPE being replaced with the 2068 keyword FREE).
