    should be easy enough, you just have to scan the keyboard membrane with a microcontroller and squirt out the PS/2 serial signal.

    The real question though is why do you want to use a speccy keyboard? are you MAAAAAAAAAAAAD? :-o

    Get some tactile switches, wire them up as the keyboard membrane of the ZX Spectrum. And then you can glue keys on them, or something like that. Or just use the switches as they are.

    Thanks for those links, on the first one there's a tip for checking whether I need to buy a new keyboard membrane, and a trick to tighten up the cassette sockets. I'll get me screwdrivers out and have a go.

    That's a nice machine you've got there.

    As pmsr said, that's a 16k model. Stick a new keyboard membrane in, a bit of upper memory and a few logic chips and you'll likely as not have yourself a working 48k machine.
