Strange. I once did that as a test, and all the converted files loaded perfectly on X128, Real Spectrum and R80. Try one of these emulators, and/or change the conversion settings in Taper. -

A new editor would be useful. What OS's would it be for? I would expect it would take quite a long time to write with all the complicated drag and drop Taper does. Note that voc2tzx gets the sample rate wrong with voc files made by Gold Wave.
