Don't know about opera on the PC, but opera (and safari) on the mac are more compliant to w3c standards than any other browsers.

I just tried Spin again under parallels on an intel Mac, and disappointingly it managed to remove the files from every writeable mounted filesystem on my computer. Is this a known problem?
