The Heath Robinson approach to this would be to use a CRT, leave a light gun pointed at it then write flash attributes to the entire screen, and use that to sync up the user flash counter :D

There comes a point though where instead of all the highly timing critical code to watch the light gun.... You could just invert the attrs yourself :p -

The light gun looked really good, it didnt look like it had good games, but the actual gun case was well designed.
Most film games seem to be side scrolling platformers, Red Heat would have been better if it was made in this predictable way. -
