Use the Save State option on the Emulator menu (If there is one). Then when you want to continue it use the Load State option. Here's funny...i thought i remembered playing a speccy version of Giana recently but it turned out to be a (tech) demo 'Mario Islands'...technically impressive but not very playable unfortunately!
