Thank you very much, this is MOST helpful! The 'fixer' board you are all talking about is external, right? SO I would tell if my (new, and never tried) +D is meant for a 48k or a +2A... And I guess you can also remove this board... -

The +D Interface will not work on a +2a/+3 without the fixer board - and then again, make sure you get the right one cos I've destroyed a +D's Alice 4 chip by using a dodgy fixer board. Interface 1, no way it's +2a/+3 compatible. -

Looking at my own MF3 pcb, I'd say its a normal throughput, so unfixed.

Im using it with my +3 but through a +D interface (which goes into the fixer board), I can only use +D mode in 48k however, which renders the internal drive useless, there must be a way though
