Off the top of my head - enter CAT 1 (CAT = extend mode, symbol shift, 9). Without an IF1 it'll give you a flashing question mark; with an IF1 it will probably give you an error about no microdrive being found. -

The microdrive is just a tape drive.
Has anyone tried cleaning the head on these? There will be some oxidation on the head + worn off oxide from the tapes which, over time can cause problems even on cassettes. -
