Renegade 3 was a sequel too far. Without the original programmer (Mike Lamb) working on the project, it was bound to be crap, but who actually came up with the idea? I asked Ocean's Gary Bracey about it a while back and he just went a funny colour. -

Yes its most strange that you don`t need them on the +2A as both are the same apart from the cassette deck and Disc drive unit.

It is possible that the RGB port on your Spectrum may not be working correct a faulty component perhaps.

Come to think of it, is the scart plug (Spectrum end) a sealed unit?
If not then can you prise it open to see if a wire has come away?
And why not take the scart plug (TV end) apart to see if the same has happened.
