As far as I know, the built in +3/+2A ROM and CP/M Plus for +3 have Epson FX-80 compatible escape control codes.

You need a lead (obviously).
The back of the +3 manual has the appropriate connection schematics for a 3.5mm jack plug - talk to an electrician if you cannot do your own wiring.
