1) its an 8 bit comp released in 1984
2) can play speccy games via the speculator
3) is close to an msx
4) uses a not too different type of bbc basic -

In Holland we had a radioprogram that sent a program every week. It was also in a standard BASIC. For every brand of computer there was a program to load is BASICCODE.
So programs written on a Spectrum in BASICCODE can be loaded in a C64 or MSX. -
