No, I think it is simply because the Ps3 has a pitifully low ram, that installs are very necessary. I would definitely opt for PS3. If my recent repairjob on my ps3 fails, ill be buying another for its astounding media abilities alone. -

IIRC, most tape versions of Platoon just don't work on a +3.
