To me that looks like what thin red lines against cyan look like on composite displays.
If you move the cyan bar down after pressing space, what does that line look like, then - it should then be red on white, which would be easier to see. -

Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Gray, White, Gold, Silver.
