    SPin is the obvious solution for a beginner.

    When you get a bit more experienced, I'd suggest Pasmo and a decent text editor such as UltraEdit or Crimson.

    sequence of colors can be changed in two minutes. just have to rewrite constants in code.

    OK, sorted - the bug is fixed in the newer PASMO 0.54 beta 2, I'll use that version now.

    (The assembler automatically switches into 3 pass mode - This code looks like it needs 3 passes rather than the usual 2 - I think that was the problem).

    It depends on your assembler. The following works in SPIN - I believe also in Pasmo, but if not, someone will be along to correct me!
