    You probably don't actually need the pauses in there but just to be sure... :)

    I see you used PAUSE 1 to wait for the interrupt service routine to swap pages, but my method forced the page swap by doing the OUT - is this an acceptable alternative, or is this broken?

    Both methods are acceptable. PAUSE 1 just saves a few bytes and requires a little less typing :)
