    I always used to use MELBOURNE DRAW. It's limited, but it was quite good for designing stuff at pixel level.

    I've only given it a quick go, but the thing that stood out for me was the sluggishness of the controls. It just felt a bit unresponsive - something which will put me off playing a pixel perfect jumping platform game.
