It's not a problem - you can easily use interrupts to play AY music. Just make sure you have your interrupt code below 49152 so you can page the player in at 49152 without problems. -

That's interesting to know about the PLAY command causing clicking. In my case it was caused by occasional underruns as I got a few messages in the console. When I tried it just now it seemed to be fine though. -
