I don't think popeye is that appealing in terms of looks. The way the clash is avoided is technically clever but it aint pleasing on the eye. When you look at something like Lightforce, now that looks brilliant. -

I always liked the Don Priestley sprites. Especially Berk and Popeye. Large, colourful and pretty realistic.

Nodes of Yesod, Heartland(already mentioned though), Popeye, Robin O' the Wood(great animation IMO), Stormlord 2(but the playability is YUCK! :D ).

I think the best graphics are Trap door they are very big and colourful but a bit slow, also Popeye is very impressive.
