    I would've thought it was perfectly possible. Make sure you have a powerful enough PSU in your PC case though to be able to power everything else in there too!

    It is very possible,
    When my +3 PSU shorted I used a PC PSU for weeks while I waited for my PSU to get fixed

    It is possible, yes....

    ... but you may have to try more than one PSU as I've heard many new ones don't like having such a low power drain. They expect large CPUs etc. rather than a 3.5MHz Z80 which is kind of less demanding. :)

    theres only a few components in the PSU, if it's buzzing, it'll be the transformer, which could mean nothing, or that it's about to blow :(

    My old PSU caused funny efects to the TV picture. I tried everything, replaced even LM1889, it was hard to find one!

    As a last efort I tried with new 9V regulated PSU and to my suprise picture was ok :)

    Try a new psu first, it might not be giving out the full juice.
