Ya you can use any old 9v thing so long as the polarity is right (solder iron to the rescue) and the ampage is there. you just have to take the power leads off everything........change the psu, then put the leads back on everything :(

I would've thought it was perfectly possible. Make sure you have a powerful enough PSU in your PC case though to be able to power everything else in there too!
