Does anyone know which is the best Sinclair QL emulator?

Is there such a beastie? I know that the QL did have a few games released for it, and I would like to check out its' graphical capabilities. I always regarded the QL as a sort of giant, super-Spectrum!

As above really. Would like to see the machine in action for the first time and see if the software i have works.

i havew one ql emulator called Qemulator
its the paying kind though and seems kind of old ... the quest for the elusive free ql emulator continues ... not that id been looking mind you

I cannot find a free ql emulator that runs in windows XP.
I cannot also locate old commercial games.

Do you mean a QL emulator to run on your Mig, or a Mig emulator to run on a PC?

Try Amiga Forever from Cloanto - pretty good IMO.

I remember reading that the Speccy version was a direct port of the QL original (which I think didn't have graphics to begin with), running on a specially made QL emulator. I think aowen mentioned that a few years ago.

QLAY is the only QL emulator which can handle microdrive images ... the image! The new Q-eMulator version (not yet released) ... with rescuing programs for the QL Wiki [url]www.rwapadventures. ...

It's the Sinclair QL. There was a Spectrum emulator for it. And it's a little known fact that the Magnetic Scrolls games on the Spectrum are actually running on a sort of QL emulator (a cut down 68000 virtual machine).
