There was an R-Type II arcade game, but as far as I know that was only converted to 16-bit machines. R-Type III was a special for the SNES. -

No, it seems that I didn't explain myself clearly :)
If you look at the last WoS birthday's update, there was a game called R-Type III which was added to the database.
If you clik on it, there is no game now :S -

It was an simple homemade game, rather bad if you ask me. CAnnot compare to original R-Type.

R-Type will work with a Kempston Interface, just press Fire on the joystick and it selects it automatically.
It also auto-selects if you do the same with a Sinclair Interface 2 or with the Interface 1 Joystick\keyboard setup.
