Robocop and Rainbow Islands are considered classics. For me better games were produced in the later 80s.

Bubble Bobble is much better than Rainbow Islands, but RI is fun in it's own right. Between the 2 for standing the test of time I'd say BB craps on RI from a great height. I like Rainbow Islands more. But Bubble Bobble is also awesome. And the third game in the series, Parasol Stars, is also quite nifty. the problem with Rainbow Islands and Parasol Stars is that the really enjoyable levels are broken up by some of the most tedious and frustrating boss battles of all time.
