I have a +3 and have never had anywhere near the amount of problems that are described here with +2a's.
Games that used the attribute port would certainly crash - although I never had a problem with rainbow islands, -

Bombjack is always a good choice, but just about anything that doesnt rely too much on the keyboard is okay. Shame there's no 128 support yet, no rainbow islands! -

OK, I think I've found another game which doesn't work on Spectaculator
Tetris 2 loads fine in Spin, but when I try to load it in Spectaculator with flash load turned on it just crashes. -

Sure, better Lace mode and RGB is possible, but I start with MODE 4 quantization first, more modes follow later ;).
I think, the 4 Mhz is only with MODE 1 screen. Playing Tetris 2 was not possible. -
