well, i run realspectrum under win98 and have never experienced any problems, neither with sound (both with noname SB and with SB Audigy), nor with stability or alkatraz (or any other) loaders.

Yes, but ZX32 doesn't actually seem to produce tape files so you probably can't use it. RealSpectrum has better tape handling. You generate a blank tape image and then it'll save output from the 'Spectrum' to this image as a TZX file. -

The new z80 window version is fairly crap and compared to RealSpectrum the old versions look a bit dicey. ZX32 comes second. -

The Speccy 128K version did have speech through it's internal sound chip.
