Which was the best snooker/pool game for the Spectrum?

I won a game in a compo back in the 80s - it was a sort of graphical adventure game - all I can remember is that there was a bit near the end like a chess board you had to cross without being killed.

Sounds like a cross between Jetpac (building a spaceship), Nodes of Yesod (collecting diamonds) and Jet Set Willy (whose author went mad and lived on a commune in holland).
