Yup, it's possible, in fact it's where I do most of the dev.
You just need to install Apple's developer tools, grab a z88dk tarball and build it. -

You may have the developer tools on your OS installation disks even without a developer reg, you could double check there.
Alternately it is free to sign up as a dev to download the newest tools. -
