I see the +2 socket has a brightness signal and no voltage signal. Maybe you should make a composite video cable. There is instructions in the comp.sys.sinclair faq pinouts page.

The 48k does have seperate EAR and MIC ports, and the 48k leads are mono. It might not be wise to connect a mono 48k loading cable to the +3's socket (which I believe is stereo).Playing cassette tapes on ZX Spectrum + 3 Hi to all Could anyone confirm can you connect a tape player and play the casette games on it ? ? It would have to have two mono sockets to one stereo plug. Two stereo sockets with a mono plug inserted will damage the spectrum. I'm not sure whats wrong with it. The only way i could connect it to my tv was use a scart cable lead. All I get is black. no picture no flashing squares. And no sounds when i press any keys :(
