I've only found scart leads for the +2/+3 on ebay (I have one, from the Sinclair Shop, and it's great). They sort of work with a toast rack 128K but you're stuck in permanent 'bright' mode if you use one with a 128K TR. -

If he replaced a 48K with a 128K then yes, he could use a scart cable. But if he 'updated' (read: upgraded) his 48K to a 128K, it's a different story. -
