    Essentially you can reveal the screen from BASIC in any way you want - simply load the screen as code into RAM, and then use PEEK & POKE to move the loaded data into the actual screen buffer in any order you wish.

    I'm guessing that intro maker uses it's own print routine that accesses the standard speccy font direct from it's ROM location?

    If you know enough to get the intro maker going, you may know enough to make your own menu screen in Basic.
