    Much as I hate to admit it, the Commode version blew away the Speccy one. A flip screen horizontally scrolling shoot em up was not a good idea.

    Popeye and the other Don Priestley (post Popeye) games used colours and huge sprites which were thought impossible at the time on the Speccy.

    Uridium was thought impossible too (that game had great scrolling).

    I guess Phantis and Capitan Trueno are great exception as far as difficulty and originality are concerned. Sir Fred was original as well. Phantis-1 is an exception from poor scrolling.

    I agree about URIDIUM. This game, like Turrican, is very good if you've never seen the C64 version.

    I think with both of these games, it came down to hardware scrolling (or the Speccy's lack of...)
