Using the snow effect, yes. But then I more ... image displacements gives a nice scrolling effect though, and it ain't ... done in software. So hardware scrolling sounds much better :)

Ramsofts' Real Spectrum emultor in DOS emulated the ULA Snow effect. Perhaps give that a try ?

It's not the snow effect that's the problem - it's whether the bug actually crashes a 128/+2 or not ;)
