Heroquest and Space Crusade were basically board games. They looked quite pretty but were a bit dull to play, IMO. Most board games tend to suck on computer, though I do have to admit to a bit of a soft spot for Psion Scrabble. -

The sprites in Rex were (and still are..) amazingly well animated.. a super little game - it never really got the recognition it deserved..

I also play Tactics Ogre quite a lot (110+ hours, again, scary) and I reckon something like Space Crusade would work quite nicely. Scrabble would work fine too but that's not really a Speccy-specific game. -

It's a nice game, but I preferred the later Space Crusade. I'd moved on from the Spectrum onto the ST when I played both of them though.
