It's quicker to have your build script stick the binary on the tnfs server and load over the spectranet than to prepare a tap and fire up the emulator ;) -

For me, .tap is good, .tzx not so much. I just prefer that it is in any kind of raw or easy to interpret format for using with spectranet / divide and such. So some snapshot and disc formats are also OK for me. -
