You need to find the proper ROM files and put them in the ROM folder. Try googling for 'MESS ROM' or something like that... :) -

It seems to me that you forgot to download ROM files (get the file rspec-roms.zip) just below the file of the Real spectrum emulator you downloaded. Put ROMs in the same directory as RealSpec and it should work.
